As part of the MHPP Program, students are given the opportunity to become certified in Emergency Level First Aid and CPR-C. The cost for certification is approximately $35, and this basically covers the cost of the book. Normally a course like this would cost $80 or more, but is being highly discounted for students of the MHPP. Not only does certification in First Aid help you deal with basic medical emergencies, but it also looks very good on your resume and can help you get hired at various jobs.
First aid courses for MHPP will be offered during the time frame between mid-February to Late April (dates to be determined). Courses have a maximum number of participants set at 15 people, but before you can sign up, you need to create a SignUp genius account, and then let Mr. Hegel know your SignUp Genius email.
